Edinburgh, SCT
A visit to Edinburgh, Scotland, isn't complete without visiting Victoria Street, originally Bow Street. When Queen Victoria took the throne in 1837, it was then renamed to Victoria Street.
With the street being so popular, especially when it became known to be J.K. Rowling's real-life inspiration for Daigon Alley in the Harry Potter series, I woke up early to take this photo. It didn't take long before the "Instagramers," vloggers, and anyone posing for travel photos to post on social media got there to do their thing.
The night before, I was on Edinburgh's Grassmarket just around the corner from Victoria Street, having drinks at two of the three haunted pubs I visited. I was intrigued and curious to hear ghost stories. A bartender at The White Hart Inn–Edinburgh's oldest pub–shared her own ghostly encounter. (And there I met a doggo, chilling with its human and its human's friends.)
Edinburgh didn't disappoint that I returned a year and half or so later with my girlfriend, although we didn't go to the ghostly pubs as she didn't like being in scary places.

Nyhavn | København, DK | Dec '24

København, DK
Twice now that I visited Copenhagen around the holidays. One big appeal is Tivoli Gardens at Christmastime, because there is something very special being in the world's second oldest amusement park during the holidays.
Tivoli Gardens is perfect in size that there is never a need to rush going from one place or attraction to the next. A nice leisurely stroll around the park is just the perfect pace.
After all of these years, the Danes and people from around the world still enjoy the park for the food, the rides that are a bit old-fashioned and some that are more modern, the shows, the lights, and the overall experience of just being there.
Another big appeal for me is simply strolling Nyhavn for the beautiful and colourful buildings that make the 17th century waterway truly charming and picturesque. And while in Copenhagen, Malmö is not to be missed. I'll share that another time.

Savannah, GA
I’ve wanted to visit Savannah ever since seeing the film Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. I finally made it there in May of 2026, and it was just as charming as it was in the film. My only disappointment was not seeing the Bird Girl statue in its original location—the Bonaventure Cemetery. I didn't want to pay to see it in a museum. Seeing it out of its original element just wouldn't be the same. But seeing live oak trees draped in Spanish Moss was eerily beautiful I thought.
